My name is Jeannie Harrell. I love to make good content look great.
I currently live in Chicago, where I work freelance as a publication designer. My clients include Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries (Boston, MA); Brown's Chicken (Villa Park, IL); New City Community Press (Philadelphia, PA); and Alter (Chicago, IL).
I studied at Emerson College in Boston, MA, starting in August 2007. I took classes in electronic publishing, book design, magazine design, copy-editing, and creative non-fiction writing. I also interned at 826 Boston, a writing and tutoring center for students aged 6 to 18, and worked at on-campus organizations such as Gauge Magazine, Artful Comics, Wax on Felt Records, and EIV's The Dish. In December 2010, I graduated summa cum laude with my BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing.
My origins are in Tokyo, Japan, where I was born and raised. My family currently lives in the same downtown neighborhood I lived in for the first 18 years of my life.
